Good news: Don't have to go back, and healing is progressing nicely.
Bad news: It'll never go straight on its own again. And it will likely be sore for a few more months. Awesome.
That's really the biggest news around here. I'm already into the groove at work, though I still have a few things to learn. The best part is that I feel comfortable in almost any situation. I had a guy wondering about clothing for the spring and summer. No problem. And another wanted to know about helmets and gloves and stuff. Sweet.
But I'm still getting the hang of matching the bike to the customer. Of course, I've worked two days. I'm sure it'll come.
On the bike ... well, I haven't actually been on the bike. Rest week here, so I'm just trying to stay sane. I have some writing to do yet this morning (for money, even!), and some other little things. Looks like the weather is perfect for this kind of week.

All I can say is Kudos to the Trek Store for pulling in such great talent. It's nice to know that customers will be able to draw on your knowledge when picking a bike and/or gear.
Read Yehuda Moon for tips on what NOT to do when selling stuff at a bike shop.
Nice! Well at least you'll have a story for Jack when he gets older. "Dad, why's your finger crooked all the time?"
"Well son, back when phones weren't integrated into our heads, we had to actually grab them from our pockets and they weren't microchip size, they were palm size. So I was riding my bike along when...."
Glad work at the shop is going well. It can be fun some days and crazy tiring others when it's really busy. It all works out though.
bob -- yikes, don't hand over so much credit yet. There's still a chance I could screw up and take the whole company down with me. I think that's a long shot, though.
mike -- It'll be like this: "Jack, let me tell you about Limpach ... " By the way, I've been looking through your order history at the shop ... Mike, Mike, Mike ...
Just kidding.
What will you tell him?
Will you be at the WNR out of Bike Masters, I may try and ride that if my brother will let the kids hang out at his place.
Yeah, let's just say I support my local bikeshop more than I should.
By the way, is my order in yet? :)
kev -- it'll go like this: "Son, Kevin hurts you when you ride next to him. He'll also hurt you from a couple miles away, because he'll call you and you'll check your phone and veer into someone's wheel."
mike -- don't know yet. I'll check tomorrow and let you know.
Oh, and no group ride for me tonight. Gotta work.
